About the Author

There’s an art to story telling. A rhythm to the words, a cadence, so much so that when you find a good one you live it, you experience it with the characters. Your heart races during the intense moments, you laugh out loud in public places when the characters crack a joke and everyone around you looks at you like you’re crazy. You cry, knowing it’s just a book, but at the same time it’s not, it has become a part of you. It has woven itself into the very fiber of your being. Buried itself in the dark recesses of your mind for eternity. They can be heart wrenching, inspiring, terrifying, funny, or all of the above.

My father was the best story-teller I have ever met. He didn’t do it for money or fame. He didn’t tell his stories for the public. He did it for me. He did it for my little brother and sister. He made us heroes before we knew what a hero was. He made us conquer our fears before we knew we could, slay monsters when we still believed them to be real. But most importantly, he taught us to believe anything is possible.

The mountain of a man that was my father, both physically and intellectually, is what inspired me to tell my daughters stories every night before they went to bed. Stories inspired by The Dragon Lance Chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien, and other authors, such as Anne McCaffrey, Robert Jordan, Sarah J Maas, and others. To guide them on adventures and show them they are capable of anything. Then my daughters had a crazy idea, and asked if I would write my stories down. I never intended to write a book, let alone a series, or seek to have it published. My daughters inspired me. They encouraged me to the point I began to believe in my own stories and that anything is possible.

Now I hope to share those stories with the world. To take you to a world where anything is possible, where danger lurks around every corner and the unknown is as beautiful as it is terrifying. I hope you love these stories as my daughters did, and that they inspire you to live your own.

The line separating good and evil passes not through countries, nor between states, nor between parties either – but right through every human heart”. ~ Alexander Solzhenitsyn
